Dashboard builder

A dashboard builder that starts from your columns

Pick a blueprint, point four fields at your headers, and configure how the metric reads. Every control changes the preview immediately, and nothing is generated that your data does not support.

Charts
Area, line, bar
Value display
Number, percent, any ISO currency
Retained versions
10 per saved blueprint

Auto-mapping you can overrule

Auto-map matches your headers against common synonyms — day, week and period for dates; channel, segment and campaign for categories; revenue, spend, sessions and orders for values; previous, prior, baseline and target for comparisons. It matches on an exact header first, then a prefix, then a substring, and never assigns the same column twice. A mapping you set by hand is kept as long as the column still exists.

The controls that exist

You choose the chart type, the metric label, the value format, the currency code, and an accent colour. That is the whole surface, deliberately.

  • Area, line, or bar for the trend, drawn from the same aggregated series
  • A metric label that flows through the KPI card and the trend heading
  • Number, percent, or any valid three-letter ISO currency code
  • Five accent colours that carry through the chart, bars, and share view

Versions instead of overwrites

Saving a signed-in blueprint writes a new source version and fingerprints the CSV with SHA-256, keeping the last ten. If the same blueprint changed in another tab, the save is rejected rather than silently overwriting it, and your draft is left untouched so you can reopen the newer version and re-apply your edit.

How the workflow works

Move from the search problem into a working product without a fake demo or an invented integration.

Step 1

Import and validate

Paste or upload a bounded CSV, inspect row and column errors, and start from original sample data when useful.

Step 2

Map the story

Choose a supported blueprint, map dimensions and metrics, and preview KPIs, trends, category mix, and recent rows.

Step 3

Save or share

Keep versioned private configurations, export JSON or CSV, and create a revocable public snapshot containing bounded projected data.

Current product boundaries

Useful SEO starts with an accurate promise. These limits apply before you begin.

  • DashTrellis does not provide live data connectors, scheduled refreshes, Looker Studio import, or team collaboration.
  • Public links contain bounded aggregates and recent mapped rows, never the uploaded raw CSV or private version history.
  • The template library is intentionally small and original rather than a mass of programmatic industry pages.

Questions about dashboard builder

Can I add calculated fields or filters?

No. There is one metric column, one category dimension, and one optional comparison column. Calculated fields, filters, date controls, and multi-metric pages are not implemented.

Can I build more than one page per dashboard?

No. A blueprint is a single page: three KPI cards, one trend chart, a category mix, and the most recent validated rows.

What happens if two tabs save the same blueprint?

The second save is rejected with a conflict message. Your draft is preserved and the workspace list refreshes so you can reopen the newest version.
